"Everybody talks about wanting to change things and help and fix, but ultimately all you can do is fix yourself. And that's a lot. Because if you can fix yourself, it has a ripple effect."

-- Rob Reiner, Director

For My Wife, Jumoke

JumokeI am so happy and grateful that you are in my life.
I am thankful for your love, understanding and care.

I love the little things you do, even though I sometimes overlook them while chasing after other things. The little nice things such as my lunches, the cute Q-tips by my sink and the occasional warm glances all add a glow inside my heart.

Thank you for birthing my bundles of joy: Shayo and Tobi. Thank you for your help in raising and nourishing them daily. Thank you for putting up with their many messes and mistakes. Your love for us shows your great patience and understanding.

Thank you for accepting me the way I am. I have resolved in my heart to always accept you as you are: with all your habits as they make you who you are.  Thank you for putting up with me.

You are the balance that is needed in my life.
You balance my extravagance and overspending.
You balance my over-giving of gifts and charities.
You balance my inadequacies with sound economics.
You balance my frivolities with common sense.
You make up for my sacrificial absence in the household without the kids overly longing for my presence.

You complete me.

Thank you for sticking with me and for believing in my dreams, vision and great ambitions for our future.

The best gift I can ever give you is me: all that I AM.  For me, everyday is your birthday as you are constantly reborn into a new beautiful flower each day.

I love you and God bless you.

Happy Birthday, Jumoke.
