"We have no choice of what color we're born or who our parents are or whether we're rich or poor. What we do have is some choice over what we make of our lives once we're here."

Control Your Choices and Control Your Life

Our choices reveal our character, but more importantly they shape our character. Thus, the more aware we become of the choices we make every single day — choices about our attitudes, words, actions and reactions — the more power we have over our own destiny.

Senator Bob Bennett of Utah said, “Your life is the sum result of all the choices you make . . . . If you can control the process of choosing, you can take control of all aspects of your life. You can find the freedom that comes from being in charge of yourself.”

Attitude Is The Key To Life

Victor Frankl once wrote, "Everything can be taken from a person but one thing: the last of human freedoms - to choose one's attitudes in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way." Frankl was right. Attitude is a choice. You could be faced with a thousand problems, many or most over which you have absolutely no control. However, there is always one thing you are in complete and absolute control of and that is your own attitude.

Steve Siebold, Author and Speaker

"Use the current economic crisis to test your mental toughness. While the average person allows circumstances to dictate his mindset, the great ones operate in a world of psychological self containment filled with thoughts of love, abundance and gratitude. Both groups have the same freedom to choose what they think, but the masses believe they are victims of circumstance. Refuse to let fear infect your consciousness by only allowing forward thinking, problem solving thoughts to occupy your mind. Build this habit when times are tough and your future success is guaranteed."

Something of Value

I recently returned from presenting a workshop in Cincinnati, and when I pulled up to the parking attendant's booth at the airport, I handed him my ticket and he flashed me a huge grin and said, "Hello! That'll be $30.50."

"$30.50?" I echoed, incredulous. "I was only here for 24 hours. I just want to pay for parking-I don't want to buy the place!"

He laughed and said, "Yep, it's $30.50 for 24 hours' parking. So how was your trip? Did you have a good time?"
